Setting up a wedge monitor on stage
- For use when kids sing on stage with music from the computer
- Change the Output on Audio Mixing Board
- Press the Outputs button – located below the LED screen
- Make sure you are on the IDR Mix Rack tab
- Select the H-2 Output port by touching the screen
- Change the ‘Select Output Source’ from Mains to Mono Aux
- Make sure the ‘Channel Number’ is 2 WDGR – which is Wedge Monitor Right
- Save the new settings by touching ‘Apply’
- Change the Output cable on the Mixing Rack behind stage
- Find the H-2 output port on the mixing rack – Monitor 4 XLR cable should be in that port
- Remove Monitor 4 and replace it with Monitor 6 XLR cable
- Hook up a wedge monitor on stage
- Get a wedge monitor from the green room
- Place it by the floor box on stage which has Monitor 6 port in it
- Connect the Monitor 6 XLR cable in the floor box to the wedge monitor
- Connect A/C power to the wedge Monitor – A/C outlet is in the floor box
- Now the wedge monitor should be able to be controlled by the WDGR Monitor channel on the board.
- When finished using the wedge monitor put everything back to the way it was:
- Disconnect the wedge monitor on stage and put it back in the green room
- Replace the Monitor 6 XLR cable with the Monitor 4 XLR cable on the mixing rack
- Change the H-2 Output on the board back to Mains Output Source and Channel 2 R
